After a freak storm hits a small town in Maine, David (Thomas Jane) and his son head into town to get some supplies. While at the supermarket a mysterious mist envelopes the town and with it creatures from out of this world. Stuck now the citizens must band together as they fight for their lives.

The acting in this movie was great. Thomas jane played the roll of the leader and concerned father so well. My favourite acting has to go to Marcia Gay Harden who played Mrs. Carmody. A religious woman who thought this was the beginning of the end and she was gods messenger.

The special effects used in this movie may look a little dated but it didn’t detract from the movie at all. The shot of the mist rolling in was done really well as well as the creatures in the mist.

The story was great as it should be considering the book it’s based on which was written by none other that Stephen King. The movie went for a good length which keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Loved the movie. Great story and acting makes this one of the best horror movies I have seen.

If you are a fan of Stephen King or supernatural style horror movies you are going to love this one.
